Leonard had registered for the Draft in 1941 then in January of 1942 receives his notice. By April 1, he’s on his way to processing at Fort Devens in Massachusetts. He talks about day-to-day life and Audrey’s life and how she is doing. Mostly he loves her and misses her but there’s a lot going on. He’s in the Army now.
